The Art Project: Seeking a change of pace
This house tells the story of a vibrant couple who traded the hustle of New York City for the sunny beach community of Coronado. With a love for modern design, they dreamed of a space that felt both stylish and relaxed—a perfect blend of their East Coast roots and West Coast lifestyle.
They didn’t need a sprawling mansion. Instead, they craved a minimal open plan with flowing spaces that made the most of every inch. For them, the connection to the outdoors was the key to living big. Natural light fills their home, and indoor spaces seamlessly flow outside. As passionate art lovers, they wanted a backdrop that showcased their modern art collection, adding personality and color.
The couple embraced their new house as an art project. We worked closely with them to design a high-efficiency steel-framed home with floor-to-ceiling glass. Every detail was crafted with care, resulting in a space that beautifully considers clean contemporary design with no-fuss beach living. This is more than just a house; it’s a canvas for their way of life, filled with inspiration and joy.
